Food Allergies & Special Meal Accommodations
What if my student has a food allergy?
After a Meal Request Form is filled out and turned in, our department will contact the parent or possibly the medical authority for further clarification. Then, a special meal or substitution to the meal may be put in place for your student.
What if my student prefers to drink a nondairy beverage (such as soy milk)?
School nutrition programs are allowed to offer nondairy beverages that meets the USDA nutrition standards for milk substitutes. Pajaro Valley Unified School District is offering soy milk upon request. In addition to another acceptable milk option, we also offer lactose-free milk upon request.
